Jabi Lake Mall Cinema is owned by one of the largest cinema businesses in the whole of Africa, Silverbird Cinemas. Silverbird Cinemas is an offshoot of the Silverbird Group, a brainchild of Ben Murray Bruce established in 1980. The cinema branch of the business was unveiled in 2004 with the first branch in the Silverbird Galleria located on Victoria Island, Lagos. Today, there are several branches of Silverbird Cinemas within and outside Nigeria, including the Jabi Lake Mall Cinema.
