Facilities in the Lagos – Ibadan Trains & The Experience

I recently traveled on the new Lagos-Ibadan rail trains, and I was truly impressed by the facilities they offer. These trains, with their top speed of 150km/hour, not only ensure a swift journey along the 156km modern rail line but also provide exceptional comfort and amenities.

As I stepped inside the train, the first thing I noticed was the air-conditioned executive coaches, which reminded me of the business class section of an airplane.

The sitting arrangement is well thought out, with seats arranged in two rows, each featuring a convenient unattached table and power outlets. This setup is perfect for travelers like me who need to charge their phones or use electronic devices during the journey.

One of the highlights for me was the ability to recline my seat without any hassle. It’s a small detail, but it significantly enhances comfort, especially on longer trips. The coaches are also equipped with security cameras, ensuring safety and monitoring activities within and outside the train.

Entertainment is well taken care of with several TVs and music players spread across the coaches. This variety kept me entertained throughout my journey. There’s also a restaurant on board, serving a range of meals and drinks, which I found very convenient. The presence of clean toilets, complete with washing-hand basins, adds to the overall comfort.

A unique feature I discovered was the sleeper section with individual sleeping compartments. This area provides an exquisite arrangement for passengers to relax and enjoy the ride comfortably. The windows are tinted and covered with blinds, protecting passengers from UV rays and ensuring a pleasant environment.

It’s worth mentioning that standing in the coach is not allowed, considering the train’s high speed. This policy not only ensures safety but also enhances the overall travel experience.

In conclusion, the Lagos-Ibadan rail trains offer a top-notch travel experience with their well-designed facilities and thoughtful amenities. Whether you’re traveling for work or leisure, these trains provide a comfortable, secure, and enjoyable journey.
