Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Review

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are regarded as the closest alternative to the Apple iPhone X series. They boast loads of outstanding features which make them rate among the very best in their category. Here are some of their core specs

Design

There are obvious differences between iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus when it comes to design. This is mainly evident in the difference in the sizes of both phones. While one would find it difficult to pick which is the better of the designs, we can rest on the fact that both feature spectacular designs. The new glass back introduced on both phones further makes the phones classier than previous models and is also not as slippery in the hand as iPhone 7, for instance. The build of both phones also feels stronger with the Rand opting for a more durable glass, which is a result of a deeper support layer.

The iPhone 8 measures about 5.5 x 2.7 x 0.29 inches and weighs 5.2 ounces, which makes it slightly heavier and a bit thicker than the iPhone 7. The same is seen with the iPhone 8 Plus, which is also a bit heavier than the iPhone 7 Plus.

Camera

With a better sensor, the 12 MP camera on both smartphones takes some of the most amazing photos when it comes to smartphones. In fact, some even argue both phones’ cameras are better than the standout Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Both phones also absolutely well in lowlight environments. When compared, the iPhone 8 Plus boasts an even better camera quality than the already appreciated iPhone 8.

Processor

This is one bit both phones share almost similar features. Apart from the fact that the iPhone 8 Plus has a better 3 GB RAM than the 2 GB RAM boasted by the iPhone 8, there is not much difference. Both phones run on iOS 11, are upgradable to iOS 13.5, and vary in internal memory between 64 GB and 256 GB.

Battery

There is also a slight improvement in this department. While the iPhone 8 features a non-removable Li-Ion 1821 mAh battery, the iPhone 8 Plus has a Non-removable Li-Ion 2691 mAh battery, with both smartphones featuring QI Wireless Charging and Fast charging of 15W, which charges the phone up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
