Nokia C10 Review

If what you want is a low-budget smartphone, then the Nokia C10 has several features to look forward to. In this section, we take a close look at some of these features through a candid eye. Let’s get started.

Display and Design

It is no secret that Nokia invests in high-quality phone designs regardless of the class of the device. One thing that is characteristic of Nokia phones is their durability which is a function of using premium materials. Does the Nokia C10 feature an attractive design?

Without an iota of doubt, yes, it does. The body of this device is made from a mix of plastic and glass. Everything about this smartphone, from the round camera module to the smooth panel is just attractive. The rear cover features a camera module that features a single camera along with an LED flash.

As one will expect, Nokia also graces this back cover with its logo for unique purposes. The logo sits just beneath the camera. However, a few things are absent on this cover that one would expect from a smartphone in its class. One such feature is the fingerprint scanner which Nokia has excluded from the design of the Nokia C10.

One of the things that we love about this device is its size. The C10’s dimensions in millimeters are 169.9 x 77.9 x 8.8. From these figures, you can already tell that this device is quite portable. Match this to its weight of 191 grams and our suspicions are proven true. What this implies is that you can fit the Nokia C10 into your pocket or purse easily without a care in the world.

What does Nokia place on the display of the C10? The first thing that you notice is the display size. This device features a 6.52-inch LCD screen. While this may seem a bit poor, Nokia enhances it with a 720-pixel HD+ resolution along with an aspect ratio of 20:9.

How bright can this screen get? It can produce up to 400 nits at its peak brightness level and also features an NTSC coverage of 70 percent. To ensure that the display is properly protected, Nokia adds a Panda Glass layer over the display. With this, you can rest assured that even when the device falls, the display wouldn’t shatter easily.

Cameras

One of the top factors to consider when buying smartphones these days is cameras. This is because this feature comes in handy for several purposes including freezing memories in time and social media. When you look at how important cameras are to smartphones, it is easy to say that Nokia could have done more.

The Nokia C10 features a single rear camera that features just 5 megapixels. This camera is accompanied by an LED flash for brighter shots in dark environments. The challenge is that 5 megapixels are quite small for a back camera, even for a low-budget smartphone. This camera can only shoot videos at 720p with HDR.

The selfie camera of this device features the same amount of megapixels as the rear camera. This camera is lodged within the waterdrop notch that sits at the upper part of the device’s display. Compared to the selfie cameras of several other devices in the same class, this camera is fair.

Software and Hardware

The software and hardware features of any smartphone are its core. Without them, the smartphone is just a bunch of features that wouldn’t work. So what does Nokia pack into this device?

The Nokia C10 comes with an entry-level chipset, the Unisoc SC7331E that is based on a process node of 28nm. This is the exact chipset that the company used in the C1 model. The device also features a quad-core CPU that clocks at 1.3 GHz. This is quite small so you can’t run several apps at the same time.

The device also comes in two RAM and internal storage variants. They are 1GB and 2GB RAM and 16GB and 32GB of internal memory. To increase the storage capacity of this device you can insert a microSD card. This device runs on the Android 11 operating system (Go Edition).

Battery life

The Nokia C10 features a 3000mAh removable battery. This battery supports 5-watt charging through the use of a micro USB cable.
