Nokia G60 Review

If you are looking for a top-notch budget smartphone, then you should consider the Nokia G60. This device comes with a very impressive screen and processor. While it is not perfect (no smartphone is), it is worth your investment. This section will show you what we think about the Nokia G60.

Design

One of the things we love the most about the Nokia G60 is that it is designed from recycled plastic. When you consider this, you may think the plastic cover is not so durable. However, when you hold the phone in your hands, you can tell that the plastic is pretty solid. Of course, the Nokia G60 feels slightly less weighty than some of its counterparts, but it does not mean that this phone is not made from premium materials.

This smartphone is not one that will spin heads because it is not exactly attractive in its design. However, it is stylish in its own way, and we cannot term it as boring. Truth be told, you would not be ashamed to wield this phone in public. There are so many things about the design that still makes it look classy. From the flat edges that make the phone look modern to the wider bezels and sizable chin beneath the display, this device is pretty classy.

Display

Is the display of the Nokia G60 anything to write home about? According to experts, the display of this smartphone is just perfect for its price. It comes with a 6.58 inches IPS LCD panel. As such, it is void of the vibrant colors and deep blacks that accompany the popular OLED display. Regardless, it still features a 1080p resolution as well as a 120Hz refresh rate.

The refresh rate of this device takes its performance to another level and adds some silky smoothness by the side. At the top of this device’s screen, you will see a teardrop notch that is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The main flaw of this device’s display is the brightness which is rated at only 400 nits. This means that the screen of the Nokia G60 struggles to be bright under intense sunlight. When you compare this to the pros, it is only a minor flaw.

Performance

The Nokia G60 is a low-budget device so you should not expect much from its performance. Interestingly, when you look at this device critically, you will notice that there is much to expect from its performance.

The Nokia G60 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G, which makes it pretty excellent. With this, you can play several games without a scare of the device hanging. One of the main challenges of this device is the low RAM size. It only features 4 GB of RAM. This is quite low and it shows when using the device. The good news is that you can go for the 6 GB variant of the device. This is not perfect, but it will still serve you better than the 4 GB variant.
