There is so much to like about the Spark 7P. In this section, we take a look at some of its features of this smartphone. We will also be judging whether it is truly an upgrade on the Spark 7 or not. Let’s get started.
Display and Design
Tecno understands that a smartphone is mostly first judged by its looks. As such, the company did its homework into crafting a very attractive design for the Spark 7P. This smartphone has a very cool design with properly proportioned parts in front and behind.
One of the first things that you’d notice about this smartphone is that it is sleek and very smooth. If you are not too careful, it could even slip off your hands. The phone has a streamlined design that makes it portable and fits into your pocket or purse seamlessly.
Tecno presents its users with this smartphone in different colours. The different colours include Alps Blue, Spruce Green, Summer Mojito, and Magnet Black. To add to the design and also to double as a safety feature, there is a fingerprint scanner. The phone also comes with a SPARK logo on the rear cover. This logo boldly reveals the identity of this phone that makes it unique and special.
In the top-left corner of the rear cover are the three rear cameras. These cameras are arranged systematically to add some style to the Spark 7P. The stylish camera panel is crafted with the amazing aerospace-level technique.
Let’s take a look at the display in front of the device. It comes with a water drop notch that gives you a better and larger display than the Spark 7. The 6.8-inch screen and 720 x 1640 pixels give you an all-immersive cinema experience.

So how good is the camera on the Spark 7P? The rear camera features a 16-megapixel triple camera setup. There is also a new AI lens that isn’t part of the setup in this phone’s predecessor. With this lens, it is easier to shoot photos and videos in the dark and not miss out on the details.
There is also a bokeh focus feature that helps you to blur the background of your photos and videos. One of our favourite features of this camera is the intelligent skin adaptation effect. It means that you can still get attractive photos regardless of your skin type.
Another feature that this camera presents is the Video Beautify feature. This makes you enjoy very natural and gorgeous pictures. How about the front camera? There is no difference between the front camera of the Spark 7P and its predecessor. They both feature 8-megapixel front cameras. While this may seem low, it still does a great job, especially with Snapchat filters.
Let’s not forget that this camera comes with the slo-mo video feature that is capped at 240fps. It also has a Super night mode that allows you to capture great pictures at night.
Software and Hardware
The Spark 7P is a small but mighty smartphone. This is because of the mix of its chipset and processor. It has an octa-core processor and a MediaTek Helio G70 chipset. Add this to the 820MHz graphics card and you have a top-notch device on your hands.
When it comes to speed, this device is twice as fast as the Spark 6. It comes in two internal memory variants, 128GB/4GB and 64GB/4GB. This means that you have enough space for your videos, music, games, and files.
Battery Life
The battery life of a smartphone is a very important aspect that you must consider before purchase. Tecno understands the power issues of Africa and has equipped this device with a 5000mAh battery. While this is great, it is less than what you have in the Spark 7 (6000mAh). Notwithstanding, this battery will give you a standby time of 14 days.
