The Sony A6400 is an upgrade to the A6300. While both cameras use the same sensor, the A6400 has several subtle enhancements and impressive autofocus capabilities. To be honest, the arrival of this camera was greeted by several other top-quality cameras in the same category. However, there is so much to like about the Sony A6400, especially because of the different exciting enhancements that Sony introduced. In this section, we will look at a brief review of the Sony A6400 to show you why you should consider buying this camera.
Body, Handling, and Controls
One look at the Sony A6400 and you will agree that it shares several similarities with its predecessor, the A6300, in terms of looks. As you would have guessed, this camera falls into Sony’s mid-range APS-C product line. If you like the designs of the cameras in this category, then you won’t have any problems.
Where most photographers have a problem with this series is with the handling gripes. It is quite disturbing that Sony didn’t pay attention to solving this problem when designing the A6400. One of the major handling updates in the Sony A6400 is the touchscreen. If you had to move your autofocus area in the predecessors of this camera, you had to press a button that would enable the 4-way controller.
