ACCA is one of the highest-ranking International Accounting Examinations. While the certificate is recognized globally, the trainings are very helpful in preparing an accountant for the global stage. Because of this, many accounting professionals are seeking to take this exam all over the world including Nigeria.
This brings us to the question, “how much does it cost to write ACCA Exams in Nigeria?” We will provide you with an answer to this question in this post. Let’s get straight to it.
ACCA Exam Fees in Nigeria
ACCA exposes accounting professionals to a high level of accounting knowledge that is relevant for the global stage. As such, taking this exam makes an accountant gain international relevance. If you are in Nigeria and want to take this exam, then you need to know how much it costs. We have put them together in different sections below showing the cost of taking ACCA exams in Nigeria.
ACCA Registration Fees
The first step to writing any examination is registration which is why we will discuss the ACCA registration fees first. As of the time of writing this post, the registration fee for ACCA is £36. This fee applies when you are applying for “Level 1” of the certification exams. After you make this payment, you don’t need to pay registration fees for the other levels.
ACCA Annual Subscription Fees in Nigeria
Another very important fee that you will be required to pay is the Annual Subscription Fee. This fee is different from the registration fees we explained above. The reason you pay this fee is to ensure that you maintain an active student status with ACCA. The annual subscription fee is £122. You have to keep paying this fee each year until you cease to be an ACCA student. New students enjoy a reduced fee in their first year, so they pay £63 instead. Failure to pay the annual subscription fee may lead to your student account being suspended.
ACCA Re-Registration Fee
This fee is a penalty for the students that failed to pay their annual subscription fee at the right time. The usual practice is that such students’ names will be removed from the register. As such, they need to pay a re-registration fee along with other unpaid fees. After doing this, they regain their status as students of ACCA. The re-registration fee is £89.
ACCA Exemption Fees
Every time you get an exemption from an ACCA examination, you are charged an exemption fee. For any of the applied knowledge examinations like Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Business and Technology, the fee is £40. Applied skills examinations such as Performance Management, Financial Reporting, Financial Management, Taxation, Corporate and Business Law, and Audit and Assurance, the fee is £58.
