Nokia C20 Review

According to Nokia, the C20 is an upgrade on the C10. So here’s the question, “is the C20 really an upgrade?” The only way to find out is to check its features while comparing them to those of its predecessors. In this section, we will be doing just that.

Display and Design

Nokia is renowned for coming up with high-quality and durable smartphones. One of their major selling points over the years is their design. This company is known for making use of premium quality materials to manufacture its smartphones regardless of their class. So what is the design of the Nokia C20 like?

Nokia wraps this device in a very attractive body design that is made up of plastic and glass. It features a ring-shaped camera module that is accompanied by a single camera and LED flash. The weight and size of smartphone matters. No one wants to carry around a heavy device that can’t fit into pockets or purses easily. Nokia eliminates this fear by making this device just 191 grams, the same as its predecessor. The device’s dimensions in millimeters are 169.9 x 77.9 x 8.8.

Now, let’s look at the front of this device to see what magic Nokia performed here. The front of this device features a waterdrop notch along with a small bezel. The bezel is placed very close to the base of the phone’s display. This device features a 6.52-inch LCD screen which is quite decent compared to its competitors.

The Nokia C20 comes with an HD+ resolution packed with 720 pixels as well as a 20:9 aspect ratio. This device also features a peak brightness of about 400 nits along with an NTSC coverage of 70 percent. Finally, Nokia equips this device with a strong glass protector similar to what you have in the C10.

Cameras

For most smartphone users, cameras are among the chief deciding factors when choosing smartphones. This feature helps users to capture memorable moments that can be shared with friends on social media or stored up. Did Nokia do justice to the Nokia C20 in the camera department? Let’s find out.

The Nokia C20 features a rear camera that packs 5 megapixels. To be honest, this is quite small when you compare this device to others in the same class. However, it is the exact number of pixels present in the rear camera of the C10 meaning that there is no upgrade here.

The rear camera is housed in a round camera module just like it is in this phone’s predecessor. It is also accompanied by an LED flash feature to help take bright pictures and eliminate noise in dark environments.

Just like it is in the C10, the Nokia C20 features a selfie camera that packs 5 megapixels. While this is the same as what you have in the C10, Nokia adds something new to the package. Housed along with the camera in the waterdrop notch is an LED flash. This was absent in the C10 and it means that you can have clearer pictures even in dark environments.

Software and Hardware

The software and hardware of a phone are very important to its function. Without both, the device wouldn’t function optimally. Nokia understands packs this device with the necessary software and hardware to ensure optimal performance.

Firstly, the device features a Unisoc SC9863a chipset. Even though this is quite low, it is an upgrade on what you have in the C10. To accompany this, Nokia adds an octa-core CPU that clocks at a 4 x 1.6 GHz speed. Along with this, this device features a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU that controls both the gaming and graphics functions.

This device features two different variants for both the RAM and internal storage space. The RAM variants are 1GB and 2GB while the internal storage variants are 16GB and 32GB. If you are not satisfied with this, you can expand the internal storage by inserting a microSD card.

Battery Life

This device features a 3000mAh battery. It also features 5-watt charging through a micro USB port. While this is small, it is similar to other devices in the same category.
