NDA Acceptance Fees

New cadets at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) are expected to pay an acceptance fee similar to other universities in the country. Paying the acceptance fee signifies that the student agrees to go through the training program at the institution. The acceptance fees fluctuate depending on the academic session and decisions from the school’s governing body. Currently, the acceptance fee for new cadets at NDA is set at N35,000.

NDA Accommodation and Clearance Fee

As a student of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), you may be required to stay on campus. If you are staying on campus, then you will need to pay for one of the school hostels. The hostel fees are currently set at N40,000.

Nigerian Defence Academy Admission Requirements

Nigerian Defence academy is not the easiest of institutions to get into. Given its reputation, the institution is among the most sought after. Here, we will take a look at some basic requirements to consider before you decide to enrol for any course in the institution.

For you to be able to gain admission to study a course in the Nigerian Defence Academy, you must meet all the necessary requirements as stated by the institution. The core requirements are listed below.

  • WAEC certification: Like any other institution in Nigeria, NDA requires student to have completed the compulsory Senior School certificate Examination (SSCE) i.e. either NECO, GCE O’level or WAEC with a minimum of five credits in not more than two sittings. To enrol into any of Faculty of Science, Faculty of Military Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the student must have a minimum of credit passes in at least two relevant supporting subjects with credits in all required subjects including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and/or Biology.
  • Age Limit: Age is another factor considered important in the institution. To gain admission into NDA, you have to be between 17 and 21 years old as at the period of the admission process.
  • Height Consideration: Applicant must be at least 1.68 meters tall for guys and at least 1.58 meters tall for ladies.
  • Marital Status: Applicant must be single during the admission process and should not have any legal obligation to any other individual during the period.
  • State of Origin: Applicant must have a Certificate of Origin from the Local Government or a corresponding Certificate of State Indigene signed by the office of the executive governor.
